TNF Summer Basecamp

Covid turned the world upside down. As the reality of the situation set in, we realized this summer was going to be unlike any other. And “typical” summertime activities were not going to be possible, including summer camps - filling many parents with dread!

That’s where we saw a hole The North Face could fill.Provide children and parents with fun, educational activities that inspires them to explore the world right outside their door.

We created a 2 week summer camp experience that fit the reality of parents’ lives right now, and set kids up for a lifetime of exploration.
The camp program immersed kids in three critical elements of exploration:
1) Protect and respect the wonders this world has to offer,
2) Celebrate and support the community of exploration,
3) Be prepared for anything.

It was a complete success with over 20,000 Signups, 80% New Members and a total of 156M impressions.

Camper T-Shirt

No summer camp would be complete without a camp t-shirt. To stoke excitement,
we provided campers with a how-to video on how to tie-dye a t-shirt inspired
by a natural wonder of the world: The Aurora Borealis

Inviting All Campers!

To introduce The North Face Summer Base Camp, we created a :15 second stop-motion film
featuring The North Face products, as well as objects that hint to some of the activities our campers will be doing.

Week 1 - Exploring Locally
